Epilogue 1 : Chloe’s Worries
Chloe de la Atwood, a second year student of the Commercial Class in the Adrashelm Royal Girls’ Academy, was unusually restless.
It had been two years since she entered the school, and she would soon be a third grade student.
Due to the spring break period, the school was quiet.
Chloe wore the beret which was the trademark of the Commercial Class.
She then went out of her dorm room and headed to the schoolyard.
「Chloe onee-sama, you look wonderful as always!」
「Move away, folks!」
「Open the way for Chloe onee-sama!」(first-year students)
Three first-year students of Commercial Class, who were fangirls of Chloe, opened the way for her.
Chloe thanked them and walked dashingly.
Her shiny black hair swayed as she walked.
Chloe, who had turned fourteen, became even more beautiful than two years ago.
Her face and body looked more mature than when she was living at the Atwood’s mansion.
She also became more confident than when she first came to the Royal Girls’ Academy. Perhaps because she has been the top student in her grade.
After they were done escorting Chloe through the crowd in the dorm, the three fangirls screamed “Kyaaa~” while worshiping Chloe’s beauty and looking at the star badges on Chloe’s chest with respectful eyes.
Chloe kept walking, leaving them behind without minding their gazes.
She went through the complicated halls of the school, heading for the schoolyard.
（It must be today… Un. I’m sure of it…）(Chloe)
By the way, star badges were something that were given by the kingdom to the students with excellent grades and who have contributed to the school.
For the students of the Royal Girls’ Academy, star badges are the proof that you are no ordinary student in the academy.
Because Chloe has been the student with the best exam results since she entered the academy, she has nine star badges on her chest now.
She got three star badges when she was in first grade and another three badges in second grade.
She also got one from the entrance test, and one from the first year final exam.
Lastly, she got one from the “Judgment” the other day, so she has a total of nine star badges.
「Chloe, found you. Where are you going?」(?)
The sharp voice of someone calling was heard from the back of the “Haunted Corridor” in front of Chloe.
In this corridor, there were ghosts that were almost transparent floating around in the air.
（Hahh… I’ve been found by a troublesome person…）(Chloe)
「Do you have any business with me? I’m sorry, but I’m busy right now.」(Chloe)
Chloe didn’t stop even though that person called out to her. She kept walking down the corridor, moving her legs that extended from the tight skirt, which was a characteristic of the Commercial Class uniform.
「You are disrespecting me if you don’t stop walking when I’m talking to you.」(?)
The one who appeared from the back of the Haunted Corridor was a second-year student of the Commercial Class with silver pigtails extending to her knees.
She was the second daughter of the Duke’s family.
「Disrespecting, you say? That kind of word is usually used by people with high status, isn’t it? Did you forget that all the students here are on an equal footing until we graduate?」(Chloe)
Chloe walked past that girl as she said that while annoyedly chasing away the male ghost who tried to kiss her.
The face of the silver pigtailed girl turned red out of anger.
「Just you wait! Next year, I’ll definitely defeat you in the “Judgment”!」(?)
「Is that so? I have something very important to do, so if you will excuse me.」(Chloe)
Without looking at the girl, Chloe continued walking down the Haunted Corridor into the schoolyard.
She heard that girl shouting behind her, but she ignored her and went to the school gate.
（If I correctly counted the number of days since Amnesia-san left… Un. It should be today. There’s no doubt about it. They should be arriving soon.）(Chloe)
Chloe passed through the schoolyard, stopped near the school gate with spooky statues imitating a chimera and a medusa on both sides, and quietly waited for someone.
Chloe stared at the gate with impatient eyes.
（I’m sure they will come soon… Ahh… I’m worried… I hope she didn’t trouble Amnesia-san too much…）(Chloe)
Chloe took deep breaths multiple times to calm herself.
The 9 star badges on her chest went up and down as she did that.
「My cute Mylia… My beloved little sister… I’m really worried about you…」(Chloe)
The one Chloe was waiting for was Mylia.
She has been feeling impatient since the beginning of spring break.
The other students would have been surprised if they were to see Chloe, who was normally calm, being so impatient like that, but fortunately, there were not many students in the schoolyard since it was during the spring break.
While waiting, Chloe recalled Mylia’s cute smile when she smiled at her, the feel of Mylia’s fluffy lavender-colored hair when she stroked her head, and Mylia’s warmth when she hugged her.
When she was enjoying her memories with Mylia in her head, suddenly she heard a loud flapping sound from the sky.
Chloe looked up and saw a delivery man riding a giant crow descending above her.
「Hello, beautiful lady. What a coincidence. Can you please deliver this to the school public relation office for me? I’m not allowed to enter the school.」(delivery man)
「Eh? If you want to deliver something, you can give it to the gatekeeーー」(Chloe)
「Here. I’m counting on you, beautiful lady.」(delivery man)
The delivery man handed the package to Chloe and soared into the sky with his giant crow.
「Geez… Is he deaf or something?」(Chloe)
Chloe looked at the package, which was a bundle of paper that seemed to be newspaper, and was shocked after she read the title of the top page article.
She was about to collapse to the ground.
（This is…! No, no… I have to calm down. It might be not her.）(Chloe)
Chloe took a deep breath and continued reading the article.
（….“Zirnitra, the elder dragon, has been defeated by a girl who just passed the entrance exam of the Adrashelm Royal Girls’ Academy. The girl was the seventh daughter of the Atwood Family, Mylia de la Atwood”ーー! Mylia!? So it was really Mylia!?… Zirnitra… could it be, the dragon that was once sealed by hundreds of magicians!? So Mylia defeated such a legendary monster!?）(Chloe)
Chloe dropped to her knees, and her face turned pale.
（Mylia… what have you done… Aaahh, Amnesia-san, I’m sorry… My little sister must have troubled you so much…）(Chloe)
Chloe held the newspaper on her chest and looked up at the sky.
The delivery man could no longer be seen.
（Aahh, I’m sure the entire school will be in an uproar as soon as she enrolls… This school is unexpectedly full of students with bad personalities… I have to tell her to be careful not to cause any trouble…）(Chloe)
Mylia had made her sister awfully worried even before she entered school.
