They turned around all at once as soon as they heard my voice. They looked surprised.

「They went somewhere else. I was told to wait here.」(Mark)

After I answered so while pretending to be an ignorant little kid, the three of them whispered to each other.

「What’s going on? Why did they leave him here alone?」(man B)

「Who cares? This is our chance! You sure this kid is our target?」(man C)

「Yeah, he’s the target. Let’s do it while no one can see us!」(man A)

Even though they were talking in low voices, I still could hear them.

I think even a normal nine-year-old kid would run away in a panic after hearing what they said, but these men didn’t seem to think that way.

It seems that they really think that I’m just a stupid, ignorant kid.

After they finished their discussion, they nodded to each other and slowly approached me while showing fake smiles on their faces.

「I see, I see. So, your mother left you here? In that case, why don’t you go somewhere fun with us? We have a lot of toys you might like!」(man A)

「Come on, Kid! We also have candies and snacks!」(man B)

One of them had enough and decided to just take me by force.

The remaining two men spontaneously turned their heads and saw their poor friend lying on the broken wooden boxes unconscious.

While saying that, he pointed at the man who I shot first.

After praising me, Maya put Nicola down and took a piece of paper on the ground. It was the piece of paper that one of the thugs was holding.

She squinted for a second when she saw it and handed it to me.

I saw a drawing of my face on the paper.

It was drawn with a pencil, but if I’m being honest, it’s drawn very well. I kinda want to keep it.

「I think I know who sent them. It was Darkan.」(Maya)

Seriously…? I never thought that fat, perverted man had such talent.

「Anyway, you did a great job today. We should leave the rest to the guards.」(Maya)

Saying that, Maya smiled at me while roughly patting my head.

After that, she called the guards and asked them to take the kidnappers into custody.
