I likely won’t feel this way in the future but right now I kinda want to get past Laine’s arc and never see her, or her dad, again. Hope it’s not the “Annoying young lady gets kidnapped and the adolescent MC saves her making her instantly fall in love” trope. It’d fit but… I’d like the current love interests to be fleshed out a little more? Like Ester feels kinda transparent currently
