I was blown away, hit a tree, and fell to the ground.

「Khha!!」(Kako)

It hurts! It hurts!

It hurts but I would have been destroyed into pieces by that monster’s claws if it wasn’t for this armor.

「Hnnghh… Haa… Hnnghh…」(Kako)

I couldn’t breathe properly because of the pain in my chest and my back. It seemed that I hit the tree really hard. After all, the tree I collided with broke in half and fell to the ground.

If my armor didn’t have the effect of reducing impact, I would have coughed up blood by now.

「Luckily, she’s still alive.」

One of the kidnappers grabbed my foot tightly and pulled me backward.

「You planned to escape while we were fighting that monster, huh? Too bad. That monster might be strong, but it’s afraid of fire. It ran away after I shot a fireball at it. Hahaha!」(magician)

The man who seemed to be a magician smirked while looking down at me.

Before I realized it, I was surrounded by the kidnappers.

…No… If I used my Synthesis Skill here, they would find out about it and tell their boss.

Besides, I don’t even know how I can escape from this situation using my Synthesis Skill. Even if I could make a weapon, I don’t think I can beat these men.

While looking at their scary faces, despair started to envelop my heart.

「Now, what should we do with this girl? I’m sure she will try to escape again.」
「Why don’t we break her legs then? She won’t be able to run with broken legs.」

They were grinning at me while talking about a terrifying idea.

「Hm? Who’s that!?」
「Whoa! Where the hell did this cat come from!?」(scary men)

The kidnappers were surprised by the giant cat silhouette behind them and stepped back, except the one who was holding my leg.

「Huh? Who the hell are you? A catto?」(scary man)

「Keep your filthy hands off that girl-nya.」(??)

「Hmph! Do you think I willー」(scary man)

ーSLASH!

Before the man finished his sentence, the mysterious cat silhouette moved quickly and stood among the men before anyone realized it as if it teleported in a blink of an eye.

The next moment, the pain in my leg caused by the man holding it tightly suddenly disappeared, and then I heard something fall to the ground.

When I turned my gaze toward the source of the sound, I saw two severed human arms.

「Eh?」(Kako)

I then quickly turned my face to the man who was holding my leg and realized that his arms were missing.

「Huh…? ーGaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!! My arms! My aaarms!! Hwaaaaa!!」(scary man)

The man didn’t understand what was happening for a second but then he screamed in pain after he realized that his arms were no longer where they were supposed to be.

「Be quiet-nya! My ears are sensitive! A grown man shouldn’t cry like a little child-nya!」(Nyat)

Thanks to the torches held by the surrounding kidnappers, I could finally see the mysterious silhouette clearly.

「Ny… Nyat…?」(Kako)

「Kako, are you alright-nya?」(Nyat)

Yup. It was my reliable bodyguard.

「Nyat!!」(Kako)

「I’m sorry I couldn’t come earlier-nya. It’s hard to track down your odor in this forest-nya.」(Nyat)

「No, it’s alright. I’m glad you came for me!」(Kako)

「Of course I would come for you-nya. You once saved my liー Nevermind-nya.」(Nyat)

「Hm?」(Kako)

I don’t know what he was trying to say but I’m really happy that he came to save me.

The fear and the feeling of despair enveloped my heart disappeared the moment I saw his white fluffy fur.

「Dammit! This cat cut off his hands!」
「You’ll pay for that, you damn catto!」(scary men)

「And you all will pay for hurting my partner-nya.」(Nyat)

「Huh? You want to fight us?」
「What an idiot. How many people do you think we have?」
「Do you think you can win against us by yourself?」(scary men)

The kidnappers were threatening Nyat while holding their weapons such as knives, axes, and swords.

However, Nyat didn’t look scared at all.

「Doesn’t matter how many people you have. I alone am more than enough to beat weaklings like you-nya.」(Nyat)

「What a cocky cat!」
「You’re dead meat!」
「Kill him!」
「「UOOOOOOOO!!」」(scary men)
