Chapter 314 : Limousine

 

After we passed through the guard post’s gate, I could see a long luxurious carriage with four horses parked by the street.

It had windows that were made of smoked glass. This was the first time I’ve seen smoked glass in this world.

There were two men standing by the carriage. One of them seemed to be the coachman, and the other was a white-haired old man wearing a butler uniform. They seemed to have been waiting for us.

As soon as the butler saw Tryon, he bowed to him and opened the door of the carriage for us.

We then got inside starting from Tryon, Morrison, the four of us, and lastly the butler.

The interior was amazing. It looked like a drawing room in an expensive hotel or something.

The carpet covering the floor looked expensive, and the seat was made of soft material that was comfortable to sit on.

There was even a small cabinet containing expensive wines.

The magic lamps installed on the ceiling made the inside look bright and gave a comfy atmosphere.

By the way, the smoked glass looked dark and I couldn’t see the interior from the outside, but I could see the outside clearly from the inside just like seeing through regular glass.

I wonder where I can get this glass. I want it for my container house.

「Mark, come here.」(Tryon)

Tryon who sat next to the wine cabinet beckoned me, telling me to sit next to him.

At the back of the vast colorful flower garden, there was a huge building with a rustic atmosphere. It seemed to be the main building of the castle.

While I was admiring the building, I could see a girl and maid taking care of flowers from the direction of the building.

The girl then ran toward us as soon as she noticed us.

From her appearance, I think she was around my and Nicola’s age. She has beautiful blonde twin tails and a pretty face that is similar to Tryon’s.

Tryon crouched down and hugged the girl.

It reminds me that when we met at Iris Bar, Tryon told me he had a daughter the same age as me.

After hugging her dad for a few seconds, the girl called Liane turned to us and tilted her head cutely.

「Are these people your friends?」(Liane)

「Yup. They are brave adventurers who captured bad guys a few days ago. They will be staying here for a while from today, so be nice to them, okay?」(Tryon)

After replying to her dad, Liane stood in front of us, pinched up both sides of her dress, crossed her legs, and greeted us with a noble-lady-like gesture.

No. She is not looking at me… She’s looking at Nicola who is standing behind me.
