When I tried to use my【Appraisal】skill on Levy before, I could only see “???” marks, but I can see all their abilities now. However, some of them are sealed or marked with “weakened”.
I don’t know what that means, but for now, I think I want to find out about all the available skills and this ‘Restricted’ status. I tapped on each skill and expanded the individual explanation window one by one.
【Tearing Fangs】: The ability to tear apart monster meat easily with razor-sharp fangs.
【Azure Magic】: The advanced version of water magic.
【Crimson Magic】: The advanced version of fire magic.
【Physical Damage Mitigation】: Reduce the damage of the incoming physical attacks.
【False Mask】: Show fake stats to deceive others. (Has no effect on the owner)
【Concealment】: Completely hide stats from others. Effective against【Appraisal】skill. (Has no effect on the owner)
【Water Bending】: The ability to control water and swim swiftly in the water.
【Environmental Adaptation】: The ability to adapt to various environments.
【MP Boost+】: Significantly increases the maximum MP.
【Self Recovery+】: Recovers a certain amount of HP and MP over time.
【Shapeshift】: The ability to freely change body shape.
〈Status : Restricted〉: The original stats and abilities have been reduced greatly.
I see… Levy has a lot of interesting abilities. But… This ‘Restricted’ status says it reduces their stats and abilities. It seems to be a negative status. Is that why Levy shrank and turned into a small snake?
Levy also has some weakened and sealed skills. That’s probably because of this negative status, too. In other words, this ‘Restricted’ status has nerfed Levy by much.
But, I wonder why Levy has this status? Is it the effect of being tamed?
While wondering, I recalled when the president explained about mythical beasts on the livestream. If I remember correctly, it seems that I have to pay a certain price to unlock the sealed skills and release the mythical beast’s full power, and the price varies depending on the mythical beast.
In Levy’s case, I wonder if I just have to feed them. Or… There may be something else I need to do for them…
Also, I wonder why Levy’s skills don’t have levels. Is it because mythical beasts and players are different, so they work differently?
Players can level up their skills by training and using them in fights or other activities, but it seems that mythical beasts’ skills have a static level of strength.
Hmm… I still don’t know much about mythical beasts, and I doubt other players know much either. They’re still full of mysteries after all.

While chilling on my shoulders, Levy looked at me and tilted their head.
Levy seems a bit concerned, perhaps because I’m thinking too much.
I think they just asked me, “Are you okay?”
「Ah, don’t worry. I’m alright. I’m just wondering about this negative status of yours. By the way, Levy, are you hungry?」(Alice)

I guess they said, “Not really”.
Well, I just fed them so many Erst Wolves and Erst Bears after all.
Wait a minute… Speaking of which, I wonder how Levy eats now that they have become this small.

Levy nodded. They jumped down and crawled a few meters away from me.
Levy then activated the skill, and soon after, their body was covered in light and started slowly getting bigger.

Levy can’t return to their original size, probably because Levy’s【Shapeshift】skill has been weakened due to the ‘Restricted’ negative status. I can see a “weakened” mark on the skill’s name.
I approached Levy and crouched down.

Levy shook their head. They don’t seem to mind, but I feel a bit guilty.
The developer made this rule probably to prevent players, especially beginners, from becoming too overpowered in the early stage of the game because they tamed a mythical beast. That’s why they made the tamed mythical beast to match the player’s strength.
「Don’t worry, Levy. I promise you, I’ll help you get your power back!」(Alice)
「Kyu!」(Levy)
After replying to me with a nod, Levy used the same skill to return to their previous size and then climbed back onto my shoulders.
I have a feeling my shoulders will become Levy’s regular spot. Well, Levy’s cute, so I don’t mind at all.
Suddenly, I heard the sound of water coming from the lake. I shifted my gaze and saw the Squidspider poking out its head and looking over here.
Oh, right. I almost forgot about this fella.
I approached the lake and bent forward.
「Hello there! You don’t have to worry anymore. Levyー I mean, the Leviathan is under my control now. I solved the problem peacefully as you asked.」(Alice)
The Squidspider reacted with a nod. It then got out of the lake, approached me, and stretched its tentacle.
Seems that it wants to show me its gratitude.
I grabbed its slimy tentacle and shook it.
「Umm, you’re welcome, I guess?」(Alice)
After shaking handsー No, shaking tentacles with me, the Squidspider spit out thread and rolled it into several balls of thread.
「Hm? Are you giving them to me?」(Alice)
It nodded.
Seems like this fella gives me these things as a token of gratitude.
There’s no reason to refuse, so I picked them up and appraised them.
〈Squidspider’s Thread : A light but strong thread with high adhesiveness and elasticity. It’s extremely durable underwater, but its durability will decrease when exposed to heat.〉
Whoa, this is good fiber material. Since it’s durable underwater, I wonder if it can be used to make a swimsuit.
Since I can now swim and dive underwater much longer than before, I kinda want to enjoy swimming in a swimsuit.

Levy broke through the Squidspiders’ nest and destroyed it into pieces when they tried to get out of the lake.
Well, it’s because I lured them with food, so it’s partly my fault.
However, the Squidspider shook its head. I think it says, “Don’t worry about it”.
「But still… Levy.」(Alice)
「Kyu?」(Levy)
「You’re the one who destroyed their home, so you should apologize to them.」(Alice)
「Kyuu…」(Levy)
Levy got down and apologized to the Squidspider.
「Kyu, kyu, kyuu…」(Levy)
The Squidspider nodded and stroked Levy’s head with its tentacle.
Seems like it accepts Levy’s apology. Good for you, Levy.
I’m glad that they’ve made up.
After Levy was done talking with the fella, Levy climbed back onto my shoulders.
「Alright. I guess my job here is done. Mr. Squidspider, I hope you’ll live happily with your family in this lake. Take care.」(Alice)
The Squidspider nodded and dived into the lake.
「Well then, Levy, let’s go to town for now. I’ll show you around.」(Alice)
「Kyu!」(Levy)
「And let’s return here once in a while, and let’s bring a souvenir for Mr Squidspider next time. 」(Alice)
「Kyuu!」(Levy)
Levy nodded energetically.
We then left Lake Clar and headed east toward the Erst Town.
Thus, my adventure with Levy has begun.
