Chapter 1-39 : A Mysterious Strong Player

 

「ー!!」(Alice)

The three Sea Serpents I was fighting against began to attack me in turns.

They were fast, but their attack patterns were easy to read, and thanks to my improved【Swimming】Skill and my new swimsuit armor, I was able to dodge their deadly teeth easily.

I’m not good at swimming in the real world, but in this game, I feel like I can swim as good as a mermaid.

「（Is that all you got?）」(Alice)

Feeling confident, I tried provoking them, though I’m not sure if they understand what I said.

「（It’s time to end this. Come at me!）」(Alice)

The angry Sea Serpents started attacking again, even faster this time. However, they were still slow compared to my speed.

With my【Sever】Skill active, I swung my wakizashi and hit the red line on the first Sea Serpent’s neck and beheaded it cleanly.

ーSLASH!

「（One down!）」(Alice)

After killing the first Sea Serpent, I immediately dodge the second one and cut off its head. The same goes for the third one.

「（Two, and three down!!）」(Alice)

「（Phew… It was easier than I thought. Fighting the Earth Viper was more difficult.）」(Alice)

Just like Earth Viper, these Sea Serpents were supposed to be some kind of mini bosses, but I could defeat them without breaking a sweat, mostly thanks to this swimsuit. Without this armor, I would have become their snack instead. I have to thank Lynette for this later.

After confirming the death of my enemies, I turned my gaze toward Levy.

Levy used their【Tearing Fangs】Skill to tear their enemy to pieces just like they did to their first victim.

「（Levy, good work.）」(Alice)

「（Gyuu~!）」(Levy)

After collecting the corpses of my enemies, I swam toward Levy as they were eating the body of their victim, celebrating their victory.

「（You just ate the Earth Viper, right? You sure eat a lot, huh?）」(Alice)

「（Gyu.）」(Levy)

After Levy finished eating, it was time to return to the city, butー

「（Levy, let’s go back.）」(Alice)

「（Gyuu…）」(Levy)

Levy shook their head, looking somewhat reluctant.

「（Umm, do you still want to swim around?）」(Alice)

「（Gyuu!）」(Levy)

Levy nodded vigorously.

Seems like Levy still wants to be here in the sea for a bit longer. It’s Levy’s natural habitat after all.

I guess I’ll let Levy play here until they are satisfied.

「（Alright then. Let’s go for a walk!）」(Alice)

「（Gyuu~!）」(Levy)

Levy looked happy.

I was talking as if I were taking a pet dog for a walk in the park, but in reality, I’m taking a legendary sea dragon for a walk in the depths of the sea.

「（Since we’re in the sea, I want to catch some fish, but I don’t have a net.）」(Alice)

I can catch fish with my speed in this swimsuit, but catching them one by one would be a pain.

When I thought of catching some fish, Levy tapped their chest with their tail as if saying, “Leave it to me”.

「（Oh? You have an idea?）」(Alice)

「（Gyu.）」(Levy)

Levy nodded and turned their face toward his back, telling me to hop on.

「（Alright then. I’m counting on you.）」(Alice)

「（Gyu!）」(Levy)

I had no idea what Levy was going to do, but I clung to their back as they told me. They then began to swim.

Not long after, I saw a huge school of fish a few meters ahead.

Levy opened their mouth wide and then swam at high speed toward it.

「（Whoa!）」(Alice)

Since we don’t have a net, Levy used their mouth as a net. Many fish were sucked into Levy’s mouth as Levy passed them. Levy then immediately closed their mouth, trapping the fish inside.

「（I see now. You’re so cleaver, Levy!）」(Alice)

「（~~!!）」(Levy)

Levy couldn’t reply to me since they had to keep their mouth closed, but I could tell they were happy with my compliment.

After swimming around the sea for a while, Levy dropped me off on the fisherman’s boat and then spat out all the fish they had caught onto the boat.

「Wow. It’s so many! Good job, Levy!」(Alice)

「Gyuuu~ uuu…. Kyu!」(Levy)

As Levy replied to me, their body shrank to their small size, and then they hopped onto my shoulders.

Levy can be small and adorable, and they can be big and strong when needed. Levy is really the perfect pet for me.

After putting all the fish in my【Storage】, I put Levy back in their Summoning Stone, and then I returned to the harbor to report to the fishermen.

As expected, the fishermen were surprised when I told them I killed the Sea Serpents. Because I didn’t want to stand out, I told them not to tell anyone about me and left the harbor.
