Angel Little Sister 368

Chapter 368 : Back To School

I woke up early in the morning as usual. Today is Light Day, meaning that there will be Sunday School at the church.

I don’t know if they miss me, but I’m looking forward to seeing the nuns and the children there.

After getting off my bed and doing some stretching, I approached Nicola, who was still sleeping, covered in her blanket.

「Hey, Nicola, wake up. We’re going to school.」(Mark)

「…Mmm…? School…?」(Nicola)

She peeked out from her blanket and looked at me with half-opened eyes.

「Yup. Aren’t you excited?」(Mark)

「…Not really… Can I skip…?」(Nicola)

「Oh, come on. I’m sure Sister Lina wants to see you, and we’ll pick up Pamella on the way. 」(Mark)

「Uhh, can’t be helped… Fwaaaahh~….」(Nicola)

While yawning, Nicola finally got out of her bed.

We then changed clothes and went downstairs, and as usual, Nei, who woke up earlier than us, greeted us with a big, energetic smile while wiping the tables.

「Mark, Nicola, good morning~!」(Nei)

「Morning.」(Mark)

「G’morning, Nei-chan!」(Nicola)

She’s truly a hard-working girl. I want Nicola to learn from her…

After helping our parents for a bit and having breakfast, we were good to go, but before going, I went to the backyard to ‘feed’ Diadora.

「Mmhh~… Mark… It feels so good…」(Diadora)

『Uhyuu~! How erotic her face is! My effort to wake up early has paid off!』(Nicola)

『……』(Mark)

Nicola seemed to enjoy watching Diadora as her face turned red while receiving mana from me.

In contrast to her, I honestly feel awkward…

「Phew… That’s enough… Thank you, Mark…」(Diadora)

「You’re welcome. And here’s some vegetables for you.」(Mark)

After I finished supplying Diadora with my mana, I took out some cabbages and tomatoes from my Item Box and handed them to her.

「Snacks!」(Diadora)

「Don’t eat them at once, okay? I won’t be here for a while today.」(Mark)

「Are you going somewhere…?」(Diadora)

「Yup. There’s Sunday School at the church today.」(Mark)

「School…? Can I go with you…?」(Diadora)

「Uhh… I’m sorry, but no. I don’t think it’s a good idea.」(Mark)

For most people, spirits are fearsome and powerful beings. We would definitely cause a commotion if I took her with me to the church. The nuns would freak out.

「Uuu…」(Diadora)

She looked down. She didn’t look so happy about my answer.

「Look. I want to keep your existence a secret and will only introduce you to my friends for now.」(Mark)

「I understand… I will stay here…」(Diadora)

「Good. Don’t worry, I’ll be back before dark.」(Mark)

「Okay…」(Diadora)

「Later, Diadora-chan!」(Nicola)

As soon as she nodded at us, Nicola and I left the backyard.

We then left our house after collecting our lunch from Dad.

First, we went to pick up Pamella.

Her house, The Iris Bar, was on the other side of the town, so we had to walk down the main street and pass through the plaza.

However, when we got to the plaza, we spotted Pamella and her mother sitting by the fountain. They seemed to be waiting for us.

「Good morning, Pamella, Camilla-san.」(Mark)

「Good morning~!」(Nicola)

「Mark-kun, Nicola-chan, good morning.」(Pamella)

「Good morning, Mark-kun, Nicola-chan. I was going to take Pamella to the church, but then I remembered it was no longer necessary since you had returned to this town.」(Camilla)

Apparently, Camilla always took Pamella to the church for Sunday School while I was away.

「Have you been waiting for us here?」(Mark)

「Yup~ Pamella said she wanted to go with you. Fufu.」(Camilla)

「Mom!」(Pamella)

「I see. Actually, we were about to go to Iris Bar.」(Mark)

「I see~ Good for you, Pamella. You may go now. And, don’t forget to tell me the result later~」(Camilla)

「U, un… Let’s go, Mark-kun, Nicola-chan.」(Pamella)

After replying to her mom with a nod, Pamella turned to us, and then we started walking together.

I wonder what Camilla-san meant by telling her the result. Is she talking about a test score? Will there be a test today?

Well, it doesn’t matter. I doubt I will fail anyway.

Heading to the church together like this made me feel a bit nostalgic. We always went to church together back then.

However, the difference is that now I don’t have to pick up Delica anymore since she has already graduated.

Oh, right. Speaking of Delica, I forgot about her brother, Yuuri. He always went to the church with us too back then.

Oh, well. I’m sure we’ll meet him at the church later.

「Mark, thank you for picking me up. I thought you forgot about me.」(Pamella)

「Haha, no way I forgot about you. We always go together like this, don’t we?」(Mark)

「I didn’t forget about you either, of course!」(Nicola)

『Yeah, but you thought of skipping school today.』(Mark)

『Oh, shut up!』(Nicola)

「Thank you, Mark-kun, Nicola-chan.」(Pamella)

Pamella replied to us with a smile.

『Ahh~ Her smile is as cute as always! I’m glad I’m not skipping school today!』(Nicola)

『…….』(Mark)

I ignored Nicola’s stupid telepathic message and kept walking until we reached the church.

As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by some familiar faces. One of them was Sister Lina. She is a nun in this church, but also our teacher in Sunday School.

「Mark-san, Nicola-san!」(Sister Lina)

「Lina-sensei, it’s been a while.」(Mark)

「Hello, Lina-sensei~!」(Nicola)

「Welcome back, you two! I’m glad to see you here! And you too, Pamella-san!」(Sister Lina)

「Good morning, Sensei.」(Pamella)

It’s only been several months since the last time I attended Sunday School here, but it feels like it has been a couple of years.

After greeting Sister Lina, we entered the class. I looked around and saw the children, especially from the younger group, playing with marbles that I made for them.

I remember I made those marbles to practice earth magic back then, and then I gave them to the children. I’m surprised they’re still playing with those things. (ch 49)

Among the children, I spotted Yuuri, who was reading a book in the corner. It’s not that he doesn’t want to play with the others, but he prefers to read books. I understand. I think I’ll talk to him later.

「Yo, Mark! Welcome back, brother!」(Lang)

While I was watching over the children, another familiar face approached me.

It was Lang. You can say that he’s the closest male friend I have in this town.

「Lang!」(Mark)

「How have you been? I heard you were on a big adventure.」(Lang)

「Haha. Well, yeah. How’s the thing here while I was gone?」(Mark)

「It’s been quiet, especially since Jack and Bossー I mean, Delica graduated.」(Lang)

「I see. Delica said you’re the leader of Moonlight Wolf Gang now.」(Mark)

「Yeah. I’m the boss now, but… We haven’t been able to play together lately.」(Lang)

「Why?」(Mark)

「That old man forbade us to play in our hideout.」(Lang)

「Old man? Ah, do you mean Gill oji-san?」(Mark)

「Yeah. He said there was a vegetable thief or something. It’s dangerous to play there, he said.」(Lang)

The Moonlight Wolf Gang’s hideout is in the corner of the vacant lot, and it has been sealed off by Gill oji-san because of the vegetable thief… Diadora, to be exact.

「Ah… Don’t worry. The thief has been captured. I’m sure he will reopen the vacant lot to the public soon. People will be able to play there as usual.」(Mark)

「Really? That’s awesome! When the time comes, let’s gather in the hideout with the others!」(Lang)

「Sure.」(Mark)

ーClap! Clap!

While I was talking with Lang, Sister Lina stood in front of the class and clapped her hands to gather attention.

「Everyone, please put away your toys and sit at your table! We’ll start today’s class!」(Sister Lina)

「「Yes, Sensei~」」(children)

Seems like the class will start soon.

I parted with Lang and joined the group of nine-year-old children with Nicola and Pamella.

Ahh, how I miss this school atmosphere.

It’s good to be back.
