Chapter 4-39 : Stuck On The Chair (part 1)

 

Mylia kept flying toward the Atwood Territory while protecting Chloe and Hypnus who were flying right behind her.

When the three were about to reach the village they saw a crowd of people in the village square.

「Onee-chan, look. Why are the villagers gathering in the square?」(Mylia)

「I don’t know…」(Chloe)

Wondering what was going on in the village square, Mylia sped up. Hypnus then sped up too, keeping up with her.

Bonnie saw the three descending from the sky, and as soon as they landed on the ground, she ran toward them hastily, shaking her long black hair.

「Mylia, Chloe, you’re finally back!」(Bonnie)

「Bonnie onee-sama, what’s going on here?」(Chloe)

「Father ーI mean, our former father, Aaron, is going crazy. He’s frightening the villagers.」(Bonnie)

Bonnie looked toward the center of the crowd as she said that.

In the middle of the crowd, there was Aaron whose arms and legs were tied to a chair. He was screaming while looking around at the surrounding villagers with a mad expression.

「This village is over! The Atwood Territory is over! You’re all gonna die! You hear me!? You’re all gonna die along with those filthy immigrants!!」(Aaron)

「Hey, look! It’s Mylia-sama!」
「Chloe-sama is here too!」
「They’re finally back!」
「Thank goodness!」(villagers)

The villagers who looked somewhat anxious let out a sigh of relief when they saw Mylia and Chloe.

On the other hand, Aaron looked so mad when he saw Mylia. He spat on the ground and shouted.

「You damn ungrateful absent-minded daughter! I’ll never forgive you for taking away my territory and my position as its lord! Eventually, you will be punished! You ALL will be punished! Everyone here is gonna die and the Atwood Territory will meet its end! Gaahahahahaha!!」(Aaron)

Aaron laughed like crazy. He looked like a bandit leader who was going to burn down a village or something.

Thinking that talking with her insane former father would be a waste of time, Mylia turned her face away from Aaron and looked at Bonnie.

「Bonnie onee-sama, do you know why he went crazy?」(Mylia)

Bonnie lowered her eyebrows, looking a bit troubled.

「Father… Excuse me. Ahem! Aaron has been like that since this morning. I’m not sure why he became like that, but I often saw him being chased by the griffons. I don’t know what he did, but the griffons looked so angry. They were pecking his butt hundreds of times while chasing after him. That’s probably why he went crazy.」(Bonnie)

Aaron once was beaten up by Hypnus for trying to take Chloe hostage, but he didn’t give up. He tried it again the next day, and this time, Hypnus ordered the other griffons to beat him up.

Chloe wasn’t aware of what was happening back then because Aaron was hiding far away from her.

Since then, the griffons always tried to peck him in the butt whenever they saw him.

Mylia, Chloe, and Bonnie glanced at Aaron with pity in their eyes for a moment.

But then they immediately looked away and sighed, thinking that the madman didn’t seem to need any pity from them.

「I wonder why the griffons hate him so much.」(Chloe)

「Isn’t it obvious? It’s because he’s a bad guy.」(Mylia)

「Yeah, but… There must be other reasons. Hypnus, do you know something about it?」(Chloe)

「Kuu.」(Hypnus)

While wondering, Chloe turned her face to Hypnus and asked.

Hypnus answered her question with a low-tone squeak and looked at her with sharp eyes as if saying, “Anyone who messes with Big Boss is an enemy!”

「Hmm… I don’t know what he’s saying, but somehow I can tell that he really hates Aaron.」(Chloe)

Saying that, Chloe stroked Hypnus’ neck.

She then remembered something and clapped her hands.

「Oh, right! Mylia, the premonition! I think it has already begun!」(Chloe)

「Aa! I’ve been so busy lately that I completely forgot about it!」(Mylia)

Mylia and Chloe looked at Aaron with their eyes wide open.

Aaron shouted at them but they completely ignored him.

「He said this territory is over. If my guess is correct, then he must have already obtained the magic stone that can summon a meteorite like you’ve told me.」(Chloe)

「Meteorite… So, is it really going to happen…?」(Bonnie)

Bonnie, who had also heard about the premonition from Mylia, looked around at the villagers. As the future mayor of Lavender Town, she was really worried about her people’s safety.

「I have set up a giant barrier around this village, so I think we’ll be fine, but I should check if he’s carrying the stone or not.」(Mylia)

After saying that, Mylia approached Aaron and stretched out her right hand at him.

Aaron, who was yelling at her, suddenly fell silent for a second and looked at her with a panicked face.

「No… No, no! What are you gonna do? Are you going to use magic on me!? You’re not gonna hurt me, are you!? I’m your damn father!」(Aaron)

「Not anymore. Now shut your mouth unless you want to get hurt!」(Mylia)

「Khh!!」(Aaron)

Seeing Mylia’s serious face and hearing the villagers’ reactions, Aaron began to break into a cold sweat and writhe on the chair, trying to escape.

However, because his hands and legs were tied to the chair with ropes, he tipped over and hit the back of his head on the ground.

「NOOOOO! Stop it!! Stop iiiiiiitt!!」(Aaron)
