Chapter 3-40 : Taste My Magic! (part 2)
「…Mylia… Y, You…」(Robin)
Seeing Robin’s confused face, Mylia smirked a little.
「As you can tell. I’m actually not a stupid, absent-minded girl like you thought.」(Mylia)
「Wha… What the…」(Robin)
Robin was so shocked that she was lost for words.
Chloe then started explaining while smirking at Robin.
「Mylia’s true potential awakened when she was eight. Probably when she had a high fever after taking a magic aptitude test in the church. She got wisdom and the ability to use magic when she recovered from her fever.」(Chloe)
Of course, it wasn’t the case.
Mylia didn’t tell Chloe that back then, she regained the memories of her past life when she lived as Kanami Miria in Japan.
It was hard to believe after all.
Besides, Mylia didn’t want Chloe to think that she was someone else. She indeed regained her memories when she lived as Miria, but it didn’t mean that it overwrote her memories as the beloved absent-minded sister of Chloe.
Robin clenched both her fists. She couldn’t accept what Chloe said.
「She got wisdom from a fever? You must be joking!」(Robin)
「I knew you wouldn’t believe it but that’s what happened. Well, I’m not telling you to believe it anyway.」(Chloe)
「Khh! If that’s true, then that means… Mylia! You’ve been deceiving me, your sister, all this time!?」(Robin)
Robin shifted her gaze to Mylia and shouted at her. Still with a threatening attitude as if she didn’t realize that the group of bachelors were following her.
「Hmph. Do you think she will show her true nature to hateful family members like you and Father? I thought you were smart.」(Chloe)
Chloe said that without expression but with a tone as if she was making fun of Robin.
Robin then glared at Chloe.
「Chloe…! It must be you! You told this pipsqueak to act like a smart girl in front of me, didn’t you!?」(Robin)
「So you still don’t believe it after you saw her use magic? What a stubborn woman. Have you ever heard the saying “Wise falcons hide their claws from their enemies”? That’s what we had been doing all this time.」(Chloe)
「Enemies… you say?」(Robin)
「Yes. Robin onee-sama, you are our enemy. You always physically abused us and mocked us when we still lived at that mansion. Sometimes you even made Father scold and hit us for the mistakes you made. You’re such a horrible older sister, don’t you know that? And this time, you came here to the royal capital, bought a lot of expensive things with Mylia’s money without her knowing, and planned to take Jasmine onee-sama’s future husband away. It’s only natural that we think of you as our eneー」(Chloe)
「ーThat’s enough!」(Robin)
Unable to hold her anger anymore, Robin raised her arm, trying to hit Chloe.
However, Chloe responded with a calm face.
「Oh? Are you sure you want to hit me in front of them?」(Chloe)
「ー!!」(Robin)
At that moment, Robin realized that she was followed by the group of unmarried men.
She hurriedly lowered her arm, turned her face around, and smiled at them.
「O, Ohoho~ I wonder what Chloe is talking about. She really is bad at making jokes…」(Robin)
She tried to fool the men, but their doubt toward Robin had grown stronger.
「It’s no use. It’s already too late. You didn’t correct me when I called you “Robin onee-sama”.」(Chloe)
「…!」(Robin)
After Chloe said that, Robin realized that she had made a big mistake.
However, she still tried to convince the men that she was Robilya.
She hurriedly turned to them and explained while waving her hands.
「E, Everyone, it’s not what you think! It’s just… Th, There seems to be a misunderstanding between me and my cute cousins here. Ohoho~ I’m just scolding them a little because they keep talking nonsense.」(Robin)
(She looks so desperate. You can keep trying, but judging from those men’s doubtful expressions, I don’t think they will listen to you.)
Robin was still trying to convince the men that she was Robilya.
However, when Mylia and Chloe called her “Robin”, she didn’t deny it. She was too angry to realize it.
Moreover, her behavior toward Mylia and Chloe clearly didn’t look like a caring woman scolding her beloved cousins.
As the men gradually began to understand that she was a different person, they started to look at her with disgusted gazes as if they were looking at a monster.
「Everyone, p-please don’t look at me like that. I’m Robilya, your friendly party companion. My cousins are still little children, please don’t take their jokes seriouslyー」(Robin)
「Attention please!」(Mylia)
When Robin was still trying to convince the men, Mylia suddenly shouted and raised her hand.
The men then simultaneously turned their gazes to Mylia.
「Everyone, don’t listen to her. She’s not Robilya. She is the second daughter of the Atwood Family, Robin de la Atwood.」(Mylia)
The men had guessed it, but still, they were a bit surprised when they heard it from Mylia herself.
「No way…」
「So she has been deceiving us all this time?」
「If I’m not mistaken, Robin de la Atwood isー」(men)
「ーShe is the rumored divorcee who cheated on her husband.」(Mylia)
「ーーMyliaaaa!!! You littleー」(Robin)
Robin snapped when Mylia revealed who she was.
She stretched her arms toward Mylia, trying to pull her hair with both hands, but before she could touch Mylia’s hair, Mylia quickly pointed her index finger at her and cast paralyzing magic on her, preventing her from moving.
She was frozen when she leaned her body forward and stretched her arms like a bear who was about to catch a fish in the river. It wasn’t a good pose for a lady to take.
At that moment, not only Mylia, Chloe, and the group of unmarried men, but all the guests who were sitting nearby were paying attention to the commotion.
Aria, who had been watching the situation, was holding her magic wand.
She was about to protect Mylia with magic when Robin tried to attack her, but it wasn’t necessary.
She smiled while looking at Mylia.
(That’s Mylia for you!)(Aria)
「Myliaaaa! How dare you do this to me!!!」(Robin)
Mylia glared at Robin who couldn’t move her entire body, not even her eyeballs.
「Say, Robin, do you want to make a deal with me?」(Mylia)
「Don’t screw with me! Undo your magic now or you will regret it later! Hurry!」(Robin)
Robin was begging Mylia to free her, but Mylia ignored her and continued talking.
「If you apologize for everything you’ve done to us up until now from the bottom of your heart, I might consider forgiving you.」(Mylia)
「H, Huuhh!? Who do you think you are talking to me like that!?」(Robin)
「I’ll say it again… If you sincerely apologize to us, I will let you stay in the royal capital. You don’t have to go back to that mansion. So? What do you say?」(Mylia)
「Khh…!」(Robin)

Before commenting, I suggest you not to make a wild guess or you will embarrass yourself later. It happened quite often when I was still translating Blunt Weapon.
i kinda wish blunt weapon would come back
Idc about being embarrassed by guesses when it comes to fiction; it’s just a little fun in the moment of anticipation.
That being said, I do think Mylia is using a bit of exact words if Robin does accept the offer. She said: I’ll let you stay “in the capitol” (i.e. not specifying any manor nor place of residence). There is only one reasonable place that Mylia would have in mind for Robin in this scenario: prison.
If Robin does not accept, well she’s literally going to blast off like Team Rocket.

Thanks again for the chapter!
please make the rest of Blunt Weapon free to read, pretty please.
*insert Puss in Boots
Doubt she will listen, that thing over there basically amalgamation of negative emotions, can’t even think straight.
I will wait again.. thank you as always Fantazma-sama
Impossible for her to apologize from the bottom of her heart when she has no heart. I expect rocket shoe shenanigans.
Praise to the World Tree!
Mylia that too kind of you to offer that, to that ‘thing’… even if you knew she will never do it.
The royal capital has a way higher cost of living and she’ll be penniless and homeless.
