120000 gold is a little too much, isn’t it? She got 2000 gold for killing the first dragon and selling the corpse if i remember correctly. Why would she get 6000% more gold for one more Dragon?

It’s a lot of money, but if she is going to have a mansion and hire servants, that money wont last long. Also the Parts of the Dragon and Basilisk, can make weapons, armor, potions, magic tools and eliminated treats to human.
Also well paid person may not move, by money if someone else offer.
At the time she sold Zir Dragon What’isname, that green scaly guy, during that scene it was mentioned that the queen bought it for a bargain price, and if it had been an undamaged corpse without the miasma it would have been worth 100x as much, like 120,000 gold or something. Welp, here we are, fresh dragon, heyo, it’s worth 100x as much, just like they said! Don’t worry this part is definitely consistent
…I even suspect that somebody else actually might have pointed this out to the author and they went back to fix it retroactively in the raws, since why else would they specifically go and mention that earlier? XD
What should have also been named is the “new” discovery of the recipe to cure petrification as well as an ample supply of the key functional ingredient of Basilisk blood for the creation of more curative potions. And to help justify the absurdly huge reward, the author should have the Queen more strongly mention the restoration of an important powerful wizard vassal duchess to the Peers of the Realm. These two items were of course previously mentioned at the opening, but during the awarding of the reward, they should have been mentioned again as they are both important. There are probably plenty of other petrified people that need to be cured, and a nice fat fee can be charged to cure petrification especially when those important people are from OTHER kingdoms.
You loose if you try fund logic in theses kinds of stories.
It was mentioned before in the early part of volume 2, that Zirnitra had tons of miasma so a lot couldn’t be used and what could be used costs a lot to process, so after subtracting the labour costs, etc., the remainder was only 2000 gold coins. But it also mentioned that other dragons could be worth up to even 100000 to 150000 gold coins or more each.
Remember, when she sold Zinatra, or whatever his name was, well anyways when she sold the body it the narrator said “there are some elder dragons worth 100 000 gold coins” and was alluding towards her selling one worth that much in the future…
