Chapter 1-29 : My First Kimono Armor

「What’s wrong, Alice?」(Ruka)
「That feeling when you’re teleporting… I’m still not used to it…」(Alice)

When you used a portal to teleport to another town, you would feel like using an elevator to ascend to the upper floor, but instead of going slowly, you went quickly, almost in an instant. My stomach felt a bit weird because of that. Moreover, the scenery changed in the blink of an eye and made me feel a bit dizzy too.
It took us two days to go to Ijard Town in the north from Erst Town by a carriage, but it only took us a second to return to Erst Town. Portals are amazing.
Without wasting time, Ruka and I walked down the main street, heading to Lynette’s shop.
「Lynette-san, I’m here for my new armor.」(Alice)

Lynette welcomed me from the counter as soon as I entered the shop, but she didn’t look good.
I could see two black circles under her eyes as she sluggishly waved her hand at me while leaning her head on the counter.
She looked very tired.
「I’m sorry it took me a while to finish your new armor-nya… I had to work on other people’s orders first to level up my blacksmith skills so that I could finish yours-nya…」(Lynette)
「No, it’s alright. More importantly, are you okay?」(Alice)
She apologized to me for making me wait, but I don’t mind it. I’m more worried about her health now.

She slowly raised her upper body and took out a beautiful kimono from her storage.
The color was exactly the same as everyone picked out for me the other day, which was red as the main color with black and gold accents.
However, I didn’t expect these flower patterns. Lynette must have added them to improve the design. They look cute, in my opinion.
「Whoaa… Can I try it now?」(Alice)
「Of course-nya.」(Lynette)
「I want to see you in it too.」(Ruka)
I nodded to them and immediately put on the kimono.
I was surprised by the design, but when I looked at this armor’s status, I was surprised even more.

An additional twelve points in defense is huge, especially for the early stage of the game. Moreover, it also gives me a significant increase in dexterity.
It improves my stats and my looks at the same time. This is surely a big upgrade from my beginner armor.

「Uhyuuu~ You look great-nya! I feel like my tiredness disappears the moment I see you in that kimono-nya!」(Lynette)
「Ahaha… Thank you, but you two are exaggerating.」(Alice)
Unable to hide my embarrassment, I scratched my head and smiled awkwardly.

I grabbed the hem of my skirt and looked down at my exposed legs.

「Because Rin and Leone told me to do so-nya. I thought you agreed with them.」(Lynette)

I never heard anything about it from them.
「I can change it if you want-nya.」(Lynette)

Before deciding, I took a few steps away from the counter and performed some kicking moves.

While I was trying to move around in my new kimono, Lynette took out another piece of fiber-type armor and handed it to Ruka.

Ruka nodded and equipped her new armor.
She was wearing a black hoodie jacket on the outside and a purple T-shirt on the inside. For the legwear, she was wearing black short pants with a white leather belt.
「How do I look?」(Ruka)
「You look wonderful! The design looks really good on you!」(Alice)
「Ahh~ I knew this kind of outfit would suit Ruka’s character very well-nya. Well done, me!」(Lynette)
Lynette raised a thumb-up and praised herself. She indeed did a great job making these amazing pieces of armor for me and Ruka. She really has talent as a designer.
After working a few days straight for us, Lynette deserved some sleep as a reward.
We didn’t want to stall her any longer, so Ruka and I immediately sent her money to pay for our new armor. I added some as a bonus, of course.
「Alice, Ruka, thank you-nya~」(Lynette)
「No, Thank YOU, Lynette-san. I’m really happy with this kimono.」(Alice)
「Me too.」(Ruka)
「Hehe~ Your words make me happy-nya. Well then, I’m going to log out and get some sleep now.」(Lynette)
「Un. Have a nice sleep~」(Alice)
「See you later.」(Ruka)
After waving at us, Lynette opened her interface window. She yawned right before she pushed the logout button and disappeared.
Soon after, Ruka and I were teleported outside her shop.
It seems that when the owner of the shop logs out, the other players will be automatically kicked out of the building.
I wonder if it works the same with the shops owned by NPCs.
「So, Ruka, what are you going to do now?」(Alice)
「I will stick to my plan. I’m going south to gather fiber materials for Lynette. What about you?」(Ruka)
「Hmm… I think I’ll visit that lake again.」(Alice)
「Ah, you want to see that mythical beast?」(Ruka)

We parted ways in front of Lynette’s shop.
Ruka went to the portal while I was going west, heading for the western forest where Lake Clar was.
