Chapter 1-33 : The Girl, The Cat, And The Bunny Run Through The Dark City
「Yoyo! Neige!」(Elle)
「Elle, stay back!」(Yoyo)
「Don’t worry, Master! We got this!」(Neige)
Standing between Elle and the guard were Yoyo and Neige who were ready to fight.
Looking at the two, the guard held his sword forward and showed them a sinister grin on his face.
「Hahaha! Little girl, don’t cry if I break your toys!」(guard)
He then raised his sword and dashed forward, but Yoyo quickly used his telekinetic ability to make him stumble over his own feet.
「ー!?」(guard)
「Neige, now!」(Yoyo)
「HAAA!!」(Neige)
When the guard lost his balance, Neige jumped forward and swung his tiny sword.
The guard managed to block it but he couldn’t handle the impact and let go of his sword.
ーCLANK!!
「Dammit!」(guard)
Neige was not just an ordinary stuffed animal. He was a fighter-type artificial spirit who had the same strength as a human.
The guard was confused. He was wondering why a trained man like him would stumble over his own feet and end up embarrassing himself like that. He was also shocked that the small bunny with a tiny sword was actually much stronger than it looked.
However, Yoyo didn’t give him time to think. When he was about to reach for his sword on the ground, Yoyo dashed forward, jumped, and landed a dropkick on his face.

The seller was startled when the magic stone suddenly escaped from his hand and floated in the air by itself.
Seeing the magic stone flying toward him, Neige immediately sheathed his sword, jumped, and caught it.
「I got the stone!」(Neige)
「Nice! Now let’s get out of here! Elle!」(Yoyo)
「U, un!」(Elle)
Thinking it was their only chance, Elle quickly turned around and ran through the crowd.
「The hell was that!? Did a ghost play tricks on me? No, it doesn’t matter. ーHey, get your ass up already and chase those little criminals! And don’t forget to bring that magic stone back to me!」(seller)
「Tsk!」(guard)
A bit unwillingly, the guard got up, picked up his sword, and chased after Elle.
It was already late at night, but the magic stone night market was still crowded with people. Elle, who had a small body, had a slight advantage because she could slip through the crowd.

However, the guard was persistent. He chased after Elle even though he had to shove down some people blocking his way.

Somehow Elle managed to get out of the market. She kept running and ended up in a dark park.
There was a fountain in the middle of the park, and surrounding it were some pairs of couples whispering sweet words to each other.
Elle didn’t want to disturb them, but it wasn’t the time to think about others. She ran past them and kept running toward the exit of the park.
She made some distance from the guard, but the persistent man was still chasing after her.
Reaching the limit of her stamina, Elle started to run out of breath and her vision started to get blurry.
She almost fainted from exhaustion. It was difficult to see her surroundings in the dark park at night with blurry vision, as a result, she bumped into someone and fell to the ground before she could even reach the exit.
「Kya!」(Elle)
「Elle!」(Yoyo)
「Master!」(Neige)
「Ah, I’m sorry, young girl. Are you alright?」(woman)
Elle couldn’t see the stranger’s face clearly, but she knew she was an adult woman judging from her voice.
She stretched her hand toward Elle, trying to help her stand.

However, before Elle could reach the woman’s hand, she heard the voice of the guard chasing after her.

The guard drew his sword, ready to fight Yoyo and Neige again, but the stranger immediately stood between them and faced the guard.
「Hold on! What’s going on? Why are you trying to hurt them?」(woman)
「Fuck off! It’s none of your business!」(guard)
「It’s not, but I can’t just stand and watch a guard trying to hurt a little girl!」(woman)
「She’s not just a little girl! She’s a criminal!」(guard)
「A criminal? What did she do?」(woman)
「She tried to sell a fake magic stone!」(guard)

The guard seemed to believe what the stranger said. He sheathed his sword and ran toward where he came from with an angry face.
「Hmph! He’s lucky to escape from my blade twice!」(Neige)
「He owes us an apology, but… Oh, well… Elle, you alright?」(Yoyo)
「Un. Just a bit tired… Waa!」(Elle)
Elle tried to stand up but she almost couldn’t feel her legs. She lost most of her strength from walking around the city and running away from the guard.
She almost fell but the stranger quickly caught her back.
「Woops. Are you okay? Can you stand?」(woman)
「Yes. Thank you.」(Elle)
Now that she felt relieved and all the tension in her body had gone, she could finally see the stranger’s face clearly.
The first thing that came into view was the woman’s purple eyes which were as beautiful as amethyst. Elle then noticed her gorgeous blonde hair that looked a bit glowing in the moonlight, her sexy mature dark skin, and… her unique-looking pointy ears.
