Chapter 1-14 : The Girl And The Cat Are Trying Their Best To Save The Village (part 1)
A few days later, when Elle went out to gather materials to make more antibiotics for black spot disease, she saw a thick smoke billowing into the sky.
She was curious and decided to check what happened. Yoyo, who was worried about her, followed her from behind.
While hiding behind a tree, Elle looked in the direction of the smoke and discovered a few corpses burning in the fire in the place that seemed to be a cemetery a bit away from the village.
Someone seemed to burn the corpses to prevent the disease from spreading even faster.
「No way…」(Elle)
「This is horrible…」(Yoyo)
「If only… If only I could save them… I’m so sorry…」(Elle)

After gathering enough materials, Elle went to the small worn-out wooden cabin by the forest not far from the elderly couple’s house to make the antibiotic.
Yoyo occasionally went to check on the elderly couple, but they seemed to be doing well.
By the way, he had prepared enough food for them for an entire day. He cooked in the morning while they were still sleeping.

The sun had sunk and the day had turned into night before Elle realized it. She spent an entire day making the antibiotic for the villagers.
When she returned to the elderly couple’s house, she found the two having some tea in the living room.

「Welcome back.」(elderly woman)
「Eh? Ojii-san, Obaa-san, are you okay to be here? You should stay in your bed.」(Elle)
「Haha! Don’t worry. Thanks to you, we’re feeling great as you can see!」(elderly man)
Saying that, the elderly man flexed his biceps, trying to show that he was fine.
「That’s right. My body feels lighter than before. We also have more appetite today.」(elderly woman)
「I see. That’s really great!」(Elle)
Elle realized that the black spots on their faces and the lumps on their necks were almost completely gone, indicating a rapid recovery.
Elle and the elderly couple then had dinner together.
While eating her meal, Elle recalled what Yoyo asked at noon whether the villagers would trust her or not.
Noticing her pondering face, the elderly couple asked.
「Ojou-san, are you worrying about something?」(elderly man)

「As I said, I’m fine. Your medicine is very effective! Anyway, let’s go to the village chief’s house first. It’s already dark, but I don’t think he will mind. It’s an emergency after all.」(elderly man)

Just like when she drove away a man in a bird mask the other day, Elle covered her head with an old blanket, disguising herself as an old lady.
She then followed the elderly man heading to the village chief’s house in the center of the village while relying on the lamp powered by a fire magic stone she had.
「Chief, are you there? It’s me!」(elderly man)
The house was dark as if no one was living there, but after the elderly man knocked on the door, an old man with white hair who seemed to be the village chief opened the door and peeked out.
「Oh, it’s you. I thought you were the Miraculous Saviours.」(Village Chief)
「Ah, you shouldn’t trust those people. They were scammers, you know?」(elderly man)

「Never thought you would believe me so quickly.」(elderly man)
「Well, I doubted it at first, but… My wife’s condition gradually worsened after they gave her medical treatment. I wanted to talk with them but I couldn’t find them in the guest house this morning. I asked some villagers to find them, but they were nowhere to be found.」(Village Chief)

「Someone you want to introduce?」(Village Chief)
Elle, who had been hiding behind the elderly man, stepped forward and bowed to the village chief.
The village chief couldn’t see her face because of the blanket she was wearing as a hood.
「My wife and I got infected a couple of days ago, but this kind woman saved us. She is a doctor. A real one.」(elderly man)
