Chapter 4-34 : The Current Situation Of The Perverted Son-In-Law And The Troublesome Neighboring Territory (part 2)

 

（Phew… My job for this morning is finally done.）

After cutting down trees and fighting monsters, Mylia used Gravity Magic to float in the sky two hundred meters above the village.

She folded her arms and took a deep breath while looking down at the village.

After she finished praying, Josephine took the bible placed under the statue, opened it, and started reading the scriptures.

While looking at Josephine from behind, Mylia leaned forward and rested her chin on her hand.

Thinking that she would be waiting for a while, Mylia took out the romance novel that Aria recommended from her magic bag and began reading it while hearing Josephine melodiously read out the holy verses.

After reading for a few minutes, Josephine realized that it would take a long time to read the whole scriptures in a melodic way. She didn’t want to make Mylia wait long, so she started reading the scriptures quickly in a normal way.

She closed the bible, put it under the statue, and turned to Mylia.

「Lady Mylia, I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. I’m ready to go now.」(Josephine)

「Uhh, won’t Goddess Celis be mad if you read holy verses so quickly like that as if having a rap battle?」(Mylia)

「Rap battle? I don’t know what it is, but Goddess Celis is kind and merciful. We will build her the biggest cathedral in this kingdom, so I’m sure she will forgive me.」(Josephine)

Mylia had been teaching Josephine magic in her free time.

Josephine wasn’t as talented as Aria and couldn’t learn as fast as her, but she did her best.

The two walked out of the church, but when they were about to fly, they heard someone calling Mylia’s name.
